After alwaes only talk and no actions, we finally started planning and wats not. Darling finally muster the courage and told papa we will be getting ROM next yr. Woo Hoo!!

Actually i already told my mama le….so everyone in the family oso know. Just dat as a form of respect, darling got to tell papa.

So What should we do after informing both families?? the important issue. WHEN?

Date:
Initially, we decide just to go with a date we are happy with but people around me all adviced me to look for an auspicious date even for just ROM…..so after surfing the almighty Singapore Brides Forum, have decided to go to this Master call Jing Zi Long.

Im impressed man. no need to go down personally, can just email him the details and after 2 days. he will call us to go down for the report.

I gave him 2 dates though, hopefully he can tell me they are good enuff.

Master Jing replied that this is the peak period for selection of dates so i may have to wait up til 1 week b4 i can receive my reports.

Went to Master Jing today and gotten my date. The service not as good as the ppl say on sgbrides leh…i think he explained everything within 10mins….hmmm not very detailed… anyway my date for ROM is……21st May 2007

Justice of Peace:
Just called Mr Chan this morning. He is greatly raved in SGbrides…..other than the famous Mr David Loh lah…..anywae, he sounds very stern….abit scared….anywae….he is free on our date and has agreed to be our solemniser…YIPEE!!! will only need to call him 3 months b4 the date to receive more instructions….

Met Mr Chan yesterdae at Orchard Borders. Meeting him to sign the consent form. He looks stern but can feel he is very dedicated to his work…meeting all the couples and knowing what we do etc.

Next step is to call him after getting the documents from ROM on 16th May.

Venue:
Darling n me decided not to hold the Solemnization at the ROM premises cos onli limited people can go in. So we have actually shortlisted a restaurant in our mind and hopefully will be having the cermony there. I hope my close frenz can witness the Solemnization and give us their blessings as well. aiya oso Fang bian lah. can makan right after that no need sua to aonther place to eat.

Initially, i was thinking just to have immediate family but come to think of it, our plan is to ROM first and customary probably after 2 years so it makes sense to invite frens as well ba…abo who know u got married?? keke so the plan now MIGHT be to invite close frenz as well…..but i think have to finalised after all details are gathered.

Visited the restaurant Peony Jade at Clark Quay this afternoon. I must say i really like the mood there….abit cheena but not so cheena…..i like..

well checked through the package and whats not….the BF oso quite like there so i guess we will settle on there for the ROM solemnization and late lunch. 1 downside though, because of my late timing, (3.30pm) we have to take the highest price package as the workers need to work OT to accommodate us….

Went to the restaurant and made a deposit. YEAH!!!! 1 major decision made….can leave it aside til when nearing the date then finalise the no. of people plus if there is any changs in the menu.

Housing:
Next is the very big investment issue. FLAT!!! i have lived all my life on this Mountain of the North and since both our families are situated in the North as well, might as well get rooted here. 我注定是山上的小孩。Have already started to call agents to look out for Yishun flats for us. My requirements not very high lah. Just need to be near MRT, above level 6, preferbably corner unit, no need to be very nicely renovated since will be renovating from scratch)

Forget to update here, we have gone for our first appointment a couple of weeks back. Paperwork all done! no trouble with the cert submission thingy. our HDB officer was a very friendly lady. i was so freaked out initially but lucky it went through smoothly. slight hicupp though, the owner now want us to rent him the flat for another 1-2 months cos they haven found a flat. sumary, we din wan to due to some factors and he sort of said some not so good to hear stuffs but nvm we LUN!! Our second appointment will be on the 5th of April n after dat bin n i will officially b proud owners of our own flat.

Rings:
When looking around jewellery shops yesterdae in northpoint. saw a design in Lee Hwa which we kinda like.

Was actually thinking of getting Bvlgari B.Zerol as the wedding band but after through thinking, decide not to. But we will go customized our bands instead.

We went Fairys Inc and browse through the rings and the owner Sandra did a good job to explain to us the rings and wats not. Anyway, saw 1 design which i realli realli like but the price tag that came along realli threw me off. its nearly the double of my budget. Sadz. i realli want dat design but after discussion with bin, we decided to give it a miss. so i sms Sandra and told her about my concern and ask if she can customise something dat is to my liking and is more friendly to the pocket. so i will meet up with her again hopefully next week to discuss in details. i hope i get my rings soon cos it takes about 2-3 months for customisation.

Finally confirmed our rings. Actually confirmation was done last week. Forgo the one i chose on the 1st vist cos it was really very ex. but luckily i found something i like which is slightly better to our pockets! Confirmed on the spot and shall wait for our 1st fitting end March.

Met Jonathan from Expressively Joho on friday. Showed us his works and tok to us about his way of working. Have to sae im very pleased with him. Bin very funni….sae he got attitude but he like~

Might not be engaging him for the montage but just the photo taking and get the prints. (cos getting the montage is not cheap man…almost 1.6k)

Wah, i see 40 choose like alot very hard to choose…i haven realli sit down n think about it but i have some of the artist charges lah. Me so ma fan, short hair + single eyelid…hahahah

Have decided to engaged Dana as my MU artist. tried her trial and i think its good lah. she even used fake lashes to create the double eyelid for me….though i look kind of diff but i think it will look good on photo.

Called Dana and reminded her on my date. Will send her a pic of my dress and heels so she can plan better for my accessories and hair.

Invitation Card:
I did not think of doing it cos all are close friends mah….verbally inform can liao but bin wants it so we will get it. Lucky i have Jim to help me with it. He will be helping me with the design and i think i will just bring it to Bras Basah for printing.

Ping’s Bro’s GF Jac got back regarding the shortlisted flowers. Among all, i think i like this best. Charges at $40 excluding delivery. Very high chance will get this. Now just waiting to c 40′s colleague will charge how much and will decide le.

Dress:
Going dress shopping this Sat with 40. Hope i find something i like.

The Sat dress searching was not very successful. Went, Justin Agnes at Sin Ming, City Plaza, Lavender. Tested 1 at Justine Agnes which i quite like it. But i find it a tad too formal. Its gown material and i dun think i wan to wear til too formal. But they are having clearence so its cheap lah. $200 for that piece but major alterations needs to be done.

Read on SGBrides City Plaza can find dresses but we combed the whole building only 1 shop on the 3rd or 4th level selling. Its more on those evening gowns so out for me but i now know where to go if i ever need simple evening gowns. the one i saw not bad was only selling for $79.

Next we went Lavendar near City Hall. OMG!!! 是贵的loh！A very simple cloth dress actually cost $248. And a knee length dress i think might be thai silk about 400 over. The price is comparable to Olive Suite but OS dresses are way much nicer.

Will try Empire and if realli cant find, will go to JB the shop that Mag Mag intro.

FINALLY gotten my dress. Went Empire yesterdae with Bin and 40. They have quite a number of dresses there i tried on different cuts and styles. Now i know which style will realli make me look very fat and which slims me down.

I was down to 2 choices, pink bustier tube dress and a lilac halter dress. Both looks good. The pink one is very princessy and the lilac one makes me look matured but it doesnt emphasis my huge arms. Dilemma!!!

Finally i decided on the pink one, paid and went home a happy ger. Need alterations though, size s is still too big for me. Will try to slim down!!!!

Wedding Bears:
Wanted to find a mascot to decor the Table used for Solemnization. Thought of using precious moments figurine but i think it has been used to death liao hahah. Then chanced upon this site The Wedding Thoughts and saw the wedding bears. KAWALI NEH!!! Somemore is dog and bin and me we are borned in the year of dogs. so i just went ahead and place orders. Can put our names oso!!

Another $45 burned.

Shoes:
Went shopping with Bin on Sat to look for my shoes to match the dress. well i went straight to Anna Nucci cos previously when was shopping with 40 for her shoes we went alot of places and finally got hers at there. Well i saw a pair i quite like but i still prefer the design 40 got. Anyway i decided to give myself more options so i combed the whole of paragon as well but nope, no suitable ones. so back to Anna Nucci, deciding between the new design or the design 40 got. But finally gone for the new design. Reason is becos the heel is higher. hahhabut there were some really small stains on the shoes and being the lazy me, i do not want to come back on Monday to get a new pair. So i requested her to give me some disount. The SA managed to clean off the stains for me but still gave me 5% off and i managed to get her to throw in a pair of padding in for free.Damage: $65

Bin’s Clothes:
Yes, finally found the time to drop by Men’s Tradition to tailor-made shirt and pants for Bin. This shop is very popular loh….forever go oso so busy. we waited for nearly 45mins before the guy (Daniel) got time to tok to us. Total damage: $150 (After Discount).

Bin’s Shoes & Etc:
Initially wanted to go BKK to tailor made his shirt and pants but he got more confidence in Men’s Tradition. Then tot can get leather shoes in BKK but we pass by BATA and saw a pair that is nice, not too ex and we both like it so just got it here. Damage: $79.90Basically everything all prepare liao…but need to get a tie and cufflink for bin. Shall get it as a birthday gift for him hee hee.

Gotten Bin’s belt and tie from BKK. 2 items for only about SGD20. A steal. Cufflinks were all imitations though so we did not get any. Shall borrow from his brother instead.
