I think i only blog when i finish watching a movie now hahah…

Anyway, just came back from the old old “black black” Yishun 10. Caught the movie 叶问2. Can i just say it is damn nice?!! Ok, at least to me.

Well for a start, usually sequel is not as good as the 1st movie but i seriously think 叶问2 has surpassed 叶问. It is funny and nice at the same time. Ok, the plot is pretty predictable and simple but this kind of patriotic plot nv fails to arouse those emotions in us. A bit like 霍元甲。

Even before going into the 1st hour, i have already decided that the $$ is well spent. Why? 甄子丹 aside, it has been soooo long since i see 洪金宝 fighting and who else? 郑则仕! 郑则仕 the 肥猫 can！How to not worth the $$ you tell me?

But then hor, the part where the disciples fight then make up is very fast loh, not much 交待。I love all the 4 major fight scenes in the movie but if you really ask me to choose, i probably choose the 洪金宝VS甄子丹 and the 洪金宝VS the idiotic ang mo….no wait…i oso like the 甄子丹VSthe idiotic ang mo…hahaha

甄子丹 has really proved himself….he is not only a 武打演员 loh…he can act de loh….not like Jet lee.

Ok, next i will watch Iron Man 2. I hope it will be nicer or on par with the first installment.

What happened to me this year?? It is already March and i have only watched 2 movies? Ha Ha….this is bad. Anyway, caught the movie “Alice in Wonderland” in 3d over the weekend. I heard mixed reviews prior to the movie. Some said it was nice and some were disappointed.

Well, i have no idea why i have no collection of the fairytale. I only remember Alice fell into a rabbit hole and helped fight the red queen….anyway, i watched with an open heart and i was really a happy girl at the end of the show.

Ok the story is pretty much predictable but the character design is really very fantastic, good job Tim Burton!! I love almost all the characters even the red queen. I find her quite cute… “Off with his head!!!!!”

And how can Johnny Depp be so charming?? Even in make up, messy hair and all, he still is so charming…those eyes….hmmm

Well, i hope i can have more time to catch more movies….next one i wanna watch is the Christopher Lee’s show.

I cannot continue this trend….why is both my first movie in 2009 and 2010 so sucky?!

Watched the movie Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus on Friday with The ANG, Bestie & Mr Oh. I have to admit, i did not know what the movie was about. Did not have any time to read synopsis or reviews. I just know that Johnny Deep, Judy Law & Colin Farrell acted in it and i do not usually miss any Johnny Deep’s show. But he farking only appear like 10mins? WTF?!

And i totally was in a clueless state for the 1st 1 hour. Was trying very hard to figure out the story.. Only after the 1st hour then i managed to grasp what the story is about.

Hmm, i would say it is not super sucky, the scenes within the imaginations were not bad and some of the conversations were quite witty but sucky nonetheless.

Hope my next movie would be better.

This year, i did not watch as much movies as i did for the past years….i realized that from August to November it was the busiest period till i nv really got to watch any…ARGG….

To conclude, i have watched 19 movies this year. The worst one has got to be Ong Bak 2, which i have already foresee would be the lousiest movie….for obvious reasons….even 风云2 is better.

This is a good movie year….most of the movies i like it….so now i have to choose my favorite. I have some personal favorites…very hard to choose…. hmm of the below….i have to say my 1st choice will be The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Storyline still attracts me the most.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Bestie is away on their honeymoon so this Christmas its a bit lonely for me cos usually we will spend our Christmas together.

Anyway, was initially just planning on lazing at home but at the very last min, The ANG and i decided to just walk over to Yishun10 to catch the movie 十月围城.

Its not bad a movie, like the story and all the different characters. No spoilers here but i just have to say, the joker of the show has got to be 曾志伟 & 黎明. Everyone in the theater was luffing at 曾志伟 chinese (in his own voice) and 黎明 is machiam like the 中华英雄.

ok, the next movie would be 刺陵…..JAY!!!!

I still wanna watch AVATAR in 3D….

I have got to admit, i have no intention of watching this movie in the first place. I still remember reading about how much the movie cost to be produced and i was asked by a fren if i was going to watch it (me being a movie freak)…..i told him i wasn’t interested.

Then just 2 days after release, everyone on my facebook and twitter is talking about the movie, some even saying it is the best movie in 2009. Oh that got me interested…i have got to watch this movie.

After the XMAS party at Ping’s house, we were planning to watch either AVATAR or Bodyguards & Assassins but we underestimate the power of these 2 newly released movies….even YISHUN 10 oso Full House loh!!!!

Super disappointed, i die die wan to watch over the weekend so today, dragged The ANG to watch AVATAR, and boy were we both surprised!! It is really a very nice show….the plot was good (although a bit predictable) and the special effects were WOW!!! It was so real…..it could well be one of my top 3 favorite movies in 2009. Especially love the forest, the trees and the weird weird flowers….and i really like the character of the Jack Sully

So good i might wanna go watch again in 3D….any takers???

Took for granted that no one will go to Yishun 10 GV for movies so we happily played mahjong until 15 mins b4 the show starts……

Result?? Bodyguards and assassins left 1st row and Avatar left 3rd row…

Ha Ha….i have already heard reviews that the movie sucks with no plot but the CG is still pretty decent so i just decided to go ahead. I mean, we have all watched 风云雄霸天下 11 years back so have to go watch 风云2 right??

Anyway, it is really plotless, but i have to say the CG was pretty ok. Somehow the fighting scenes reminded me and The ANG of “300″. I kinda like how some of the fighting scenes were presented though, like comic strips style…and i’m impressed, i tot the “Pang” brothers were only good in directing horror movies but they did pretty well here.

Oh Oh and i was so amused with 1 of their effects. It is almost like a Harry Potter scene!!! The kind of black smoke when a death-eater appears….it KEEPS appearing in 风云2 and i just cannot stopped associating.

All in all, i still think 风云雄霸天下 is better….oh side track… i was arguing with The ANG that 楚楚 in 风云 was acted by 舒奇and not 杨恭如 but he dun believe. After checking, i confirmed liao loh….i win….杨恭如’s character is actually 孔慈…but my ultimate fav character is 文丑丑 ahaha he super funny can….

After quite a period of no time to watch movie, i insisted to go watch New Moon last Friday. Was at Shawn’s place for the post AFA party and proceeded to meet The ANG at Yishun 10 for the show.

The story in my opinion was good, most of the details was shown as per the book. 1 major highlight has got to be Jacob Black. he is damn hot in the movie….when he appeared, you can hear ooh-ing and ahh-ing in the cinema loh. (me included hahah)

He is also so good and gentle to Bella loh….if i’m Bella, i would definitely choose Jacob over Edward. Anyway 1 super downside is the sucky cliff hanging ending. So bloody abrupt!!! I was like wtf?! Still have to wait till the next installment.

I would nv miss any of Pixar Animations movie, caught UP over the weekend with The ANG. Well, the ANG wasn’t that keen on it and he was more hot for GI Joe but the wife wins. Hee Hee.

I love the part where there is no narration, just showing the scenes between the old couple. It was sweet. But i agree that it was a tad slow and i was really waiting for him to start the adventure.

The details were no doubt good. It was so detailed. The shadows, the pulling up of the tie etc. I was wow-ing in the cinema hahaha.

And little Russell is so cute can~ he is like the typical kid loh…irritating but cute. But i kinda dun get the part on his father. He was just imagining the father right??

Anyway, i feel it is a touching show which yes, yours truly teared again. Ha Ha i’m a emo nemo.

Watched the movie last weekend with The ANG and Ping + Jason. Was so excited about the show.

I have heard alot of bad reviews on the movie, it being slow, boring and such. But after watching the movie, i tot it was not bad. Well you can nv expect a movie to be as detailed as the book right??

There were some details left out, but the flow is smooth and most of the important aspects were captured. Yes, the story was kinda slow but it has to be such to answer the questions mah….anyway, that is how it is in the book.

I guess its like what my younger sister say, it might not be as detailed as the book, but for a movie, we think it did well.

Im currently re-reading the final installment Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Movie will be out in 2010 and 2011. It will be split into 2 parts. Again there are voices saying by splitting into 2 parts is just out to cheat ppl’s money but come on, how can you fit the story into 3 hours?

Lack of details, ppl complain….2 parts ppl complain…well hard to please everyone isn’t it.

My personal take as a HP fan is that i love the idea. That way, the movie can put in more details…and im sure the final battle will be very action packed….

Finally gotten to watch the movie of the moment over the weekend….i have to say im pretty disappointed.

I dun follow the comic so i dunno how related it is to the comic but i find that its is fighting all the way. Not much plot involved or rather the fighting IS the plot. Ha Ha.

Did i cry being the emo me?? Nope…..cos someone told me the spoilers right before i went into the cinema thank you very much. So the part where i should cry you guys know where, i was cursing n swearing inside, have an urge to tell bestie but i dunwan to spoil it for her.

Well, overall still a nice movie lah with the CG and all (although i think i will need to watch a couple more times to really see who is fighting who). But does it evoke the kind of rush and excitement as compared to the 1st installment? Nope.

Now patiently waiting for Harry Potter~~~

Caught the movie over the weekend. Nice show. Im glad i totally forgot the story although i read the book. There was no comparisons with the book and i was stunned with the twist.

I tot i prefer Angels and Demons more than Da Vinci Code when i read the book but after watching the movie, i think Da Vinci is better.

Am a sucker for these kinda show.

Been really busy recently, with work and the house reno. Really glad that the house is starting to form and im pretty happy with the outcome (although the process abit painful as the workmanship is not as good as i expected)

The ANG has been wanting to watch the movie but timing always buay gum….now that the movie seems to be coming off the screens soon, we quickly book the tickets and just went ahead….

We usually catch our movies at Yishun 10 but “Taken” is no longer showing there and the only available cinema is Cineleisure Orchard. Super sian can so far…it better be good cos it has been a while since i drove to town and i was feeling abit jittery hahaha (i still preferred to be chauffeured)

Anyway, it is a SUPER NICE show. Liam Neeson did a great job!!! He has got this very 慈祥 face but the things he do just to save his daughter, super sut not to mention clever.

I think i should get my sister to watch…so she will appreciate n understand when my parents sometimes nag her about going out, hahaha
