Our xmas celebration started on Sunday. Party at my In Laws house. Well this is a yearly event and come every year i will be shocked at the number of people that can be squeezed into the house. My guess, no less than 30 pax….and sooooo many kids around its scary i tell you.
Xmas eve was very quiet….just meet the bestie and with our partners we went to our favorite steamboat place in Katong for late dinner and 12 midnight just crept by. Ha Ha.
Caught this movie on xmas dae with The Ang. Well the story is very predictable but nevertheless, the show is really very cute and the songs are so catchy. Love the chipmunks….especially Theodore. Soooo adorable.
Other than the movie session, we went over to The Ang’s aunty place for another pig-out session. Im like fat like nobody biz liao loh….but nvm….i already drafted my exercise plan….IF i can b diligent and NOT be lazy, i should be able to shed off those fats….
Yes and that is my one n only resolution for the new year!
Had to work on Thursday so Fri was my in lieu holiday. My lower back is screaming again so i made an appointment for my monthly spa routine. I have more time yesterdae so i opt to do a 90 mins massage plus steambath and body scrub.
Damn….now i know how Tai Tai feel. Afternoon ba long long nothing to do go spa is damn shiok loh hahahah.
Anyway after my massage, met The Ang. Had a date with him hahah. We went dinner at Tonkichi Taka. Keep worrying that we will be late for the play. Decided to take a bus from Orchard to Raffle Hotel. Tot will be faster. Wrong move. Jam can…..and we even alighted at the wrong bus stop. But luckily we are still in time.
Well, the play by Chong Qing is definitely worth the money. 2 hours, lots of funny conversations and although the plot is somewhat predictable, its still very touching. I was afraid that The Ang would fall asleep like how he did when we watched Phua Chu Kang the musical but surprisingly, he enjoyed the show as well.
Also on Thursday, after the family dinner we caught the Movie National Treasure 2 The Book Of Secrets with my Bro-in-law and my future Sis-in-law. I have totally forgotten the story for part 1 but anyway not linked oso lah.
I would say the show is nice. Some funny scenes…and i simply loved these treasure hunting shows or myths and related stories.
I first heard this song in one of the variety show the 超級星光大道 people attended. Tot this song is sung by some singer then 劉明峰 sing it in the competition but no loh. This song is both written and sung by 劉明峰 himself.
Apparently all the songs he sang in the competition is written and composed by himself. One talented boy he is.
Anyhow, im really hooked to this song. Been repeating this song on my playlist. Looking forward to the 超級星光大道 individual albums. (especially 萧敬腾)
You know, i was alwaes skeptical towards people…..so when my younger sister dropped her LV wallet, I told her sure gone liao lah….no one in the right mind will return the wallet….
So we were just hoping the finder will return her her IC….I then came up with 2 logics….either the person took pity on her being on 18 and return her the IC or they would think that since she can afford a LV wallet at the age of 18 then what is $100 to her fo rthe replacement.
That is why i was taken aback when i received this envelop yesterday. It was just an empty envelop. So we waited til my sis is back and we opened it up. And in it is this note.
“Please call ********, I found your wallet, please call to claim”
I was like OMG!!! 原来新加坡是有好人的! My sis was like damn touched and happy loh.
Attended YYH and Shiling ROM yesterdae at The legends Fort Cannings. I have attended quite a number of weddings and ROMs this year and dunno why i felt particularly touched and happy for YYH.
I guess its because in my mind he is still like the very wild fren whom last time roamed the school together with me while the rest of the class were having A Maths, the guy alwaes running around as remembered by my mother. Ha Ha. Happy that he has settled down and i wish the couple everlasting bliss.
As usual what do you get when u have Ah Ly, 40, Pingmei and Joanne around? Endless gossips and cam whoring. Took lots of photos~ waiting for the gers to send me before i upload.
Oh and its the time again where im tired of my hair and goes around bugging ppl wat i should do with it. So this time i attempted at curling my hair to see how it would turn out. I bought those auntie use de plastic curlers, curled my hair and went to bed and when i woke up, i looked like this.
I think it looks abit funny cos the curls were like pointing at different angles but i think if its done professionally should b nice. Well i think so. Ha Ha so Ah ly is gonna get her hair permed and if in case really ugly…..hmm live with it for a few months loh and straighten it hahahah.
Caught this movie with the usual gang. Been wanting to watch it and indeed i was not disappointed. Its a nice show…at least to me. At first i tot Andy Lau’s character is a badie but no, he is one loyal guy from the begining to the end.
I would say its a very sad show….i weeped at a few parts….can really feel the anger, disappointment and betrayal.

After meeting Novotel Catering Manager yesterdae, proceeded to Orchard with Bin….tot can do some xmas shopping…but only can describe as People Mountain People Sea. I hate squeezing with people….and i hate crowds…so after dinner we jalan a while then proceeded home.
Went Gucci though…they are having sale….saw a bag i quite like…after discount $728 but priorities first….Save $$ more important…..

Hmm….at first bite, its like…the puff is very hard…..so so only but when u taste the cream inside…woo its nice~ very creamy and i think its best taken chilled.
Caught this movie: The Golden Compass on Friday with Shan and Alf. We were like kids giggling away during the show but its really a nice show. Some parts of the animation were good. My favorite character is not the humongous Polar Bear nor the smart little gungho ger…rather i like the witch most. She is sibei the sut looking loh~ Ha Ha
Sat was my Father In Law birthday pre-celebration so we had dim sum lunch with the whole family. Our family is very close and we alwaes have our fair share of laughter when we get together. (especially with my 2 neices)
My Niece…..aiyo cant stand her…sibei juay pattern de…..and the other lady is my future sin-in-law
Was feeling realli very lazy so the 2nd half of Sat and Sun were spent just lazing at home. Watching 金马奖 and 红星大奖. Wah the红星大奖 show was like a trip down memory lane can~ there were so many artists that used to be in Mediacorp. The flashbacks were so vivid.
And there were certain parts when they showed the old artists and damn, the humbao side of me surfaced. Really got to give them credits man….They practically gave their whole life to the TV scene in Spore. And Chen Li Ping slimmed down so much loh….i wan to go Expressions also!!!!!!

Been a long while since Bin and me went on a decent date. Its either he is busy with work/school or we just have some other stuffs to attend to. So i booked him for next Fri. Going to a play! yippe!
Wanting to utilise the voucher i got, we proceeded to Shillawon for our dinner.
Ly dun usually eat Korean food other than the exception of Kimchi Noodles (aka machiam maggie mee), so i was quite looking forward to it.
Turns out there is this buffet thingy which is $19.90++ from Mon-Thur so we took that instead…thus unable to utilise my voucher hahahha.
Anyway, the BBQ meat were nice. Especially like the pork. We improvised and wrapped the meat in pieces of vege and the best thing to add?? GARLIC~ it was nice!!!!
Other than that, we had prawns, sotongs, some pancake and my favourite Kimchi soup…..nice but not spicy…would prefer it to be a more spicy.
I think i would patronise them again…provided its on a weekday…cos the same buffet is going at 29.90 which i think is not worth liao…

After numerous good reviews that this is a nice show, the usual group decided to watch it over the weekend. Well, it could be that im not really a fairy tale person, i think its not as fantastic as what the others were saying but its still reasonably nice.
There were parts that were very funny and the soundtracks were really nice. But i find that the ending was a bit rush, so many things happened at once and totally predictable.
1 thing i absolutely cannot stand is that within the short ending, they added storyline from Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and even King Kong.
