I first heard the news on Sat when i was doing housekeeping at home. Felt so sad for them. Was shocked as i have a couple of friends who are avid dragonboat rowers but im not sure if the 5 were anyone i knew.

On Sun while having dinner with the bestie and our partners, we were still discussing about this when the TV in 925 flashed the photos of the 5 guys who drowned.

Of the 5, one of them was my poly course mate and we did exchanged a few words before. Not that i knew him personally but im still saddened by the news.

Life is really fragile. One moment you are alive doing what you like and best in, the next moment, you could be gone. There are so much uncertainty in life, we should really treasure our loved ones and take things for granted.

I hope he rest in peace and cited by the newspaper, it was at least a consolation that the guys died doing what they loved most.

Im back…..from the land of smiles….5 full days of shopping, eating, massage…..a tad too many daes but wat can i complain? Ha Ha.

Anyway, it was an all gers trip and we really shopped like mad….bought so much stuffs that we were very afraid of exceeding our baggage limit. (i placed all my heavy items in my hand carry and forgotten that i cant carry liquids….end up they threw away my mushroom-ginseng body lotion…sobz)

Basically we covered:

• Platinium Mall
• Pratunam Market
• Chinatown
• MBK
• MBK Connecting Bazaar
• CTC
• Healthland SPA
• Central World
• Erawan Shrine
• Streetside Stalls
• Always-must-go Wanton Mee

Day 1:
Upon check in, we nau abit then proceeded to Platinium Mall for lunch and shopping. Chen-Ah-Ping recommended us this crepe that cost only 25 baht…and it really is delicious and sooooo cheap!!!!!

We were realli tired…maybe from the lack of sleep the night before plus the ultra early flight…..so we just went for a foot massage and proceeded back to hotel.

Day 2:
Off we went to Chinatown! Bestie and Chen-Ah-Ping wanted to get accessories and belts but either they forgotten where the shop is or chinatown had a revamp.

We walked past some places for like 2-3 times yet we couldnt find the shops. So after like 2324298342 failed attempts, we gave up and proceeded to eat our sharksfin and birdnest.

There were different choices ranging from 300-5000 baht and we chose the 1000 baht sharkfins. There were good~

After lunch we headed to MBK. Shopping, Shopping and more Shopping. And when hungry, we just popped into Dunkin Donuts for quick bites…..Bestie must be very happy cos she realli like eating donuts hahah~

After spending alot of money we went back hotel to rest and had our dinner at the Always-must-go Wanton Mee. Its actually a road side stall but the soup is realli best so when we go, sure must go eat.

Day 3:
The killer day, CTC day~ Its a love hate situation with this place….hate it cos its alwaes so damn hot and stuffy and so many ppl but absolutely love it for the cheap and nice clothes.

sidenote: Surprisingly this trip was quite cooling so still ok.

Dinner was at Platinium Mall again (Chen-Ah-Ping had crepe again) before proceeding to Healthland Spa. The thai massage really very shiok loh….crick crack my body……shiok~

Day 4:
We slacked at the hotel pool in the morning before going out….Chen-Ah-Ping said ate too much need to swim but i was more interested to get a tan… (but failed again)

One and only Tuk-Tuk ride during our trip…..and i had to fell down!!! I was about to step down and i must have missed a step…so ma-lu loh…..and there was a handsome ang mo nearby!!!! So paiseh can~ Another ang mo lady was like “oh” but i nv stay long enuff to hear the rest of the sentence….hahahah

Last sun was bestie’s sister (Pauline) wedding. I was one of the sister entourage. Before the big day, the group has already came up with the gate crash activities for the groom. But the brothers were not really that onz lah…. buay steady….im sure bestie and me wun have such a problem cos our brother entourage sure will be sporting enuff……i hope hahahah.

Anyway, early morning wake up and went to bestie house…..

Recently been chasing this HK Drama. Still got a few more episodes to go. This is a typical family 勾心斗角，争家产 de story…..although typical but it realli is a nice story.

I especially like the character 小鲍 acted by 陈豪. He is so comical in the show yet so 痴情 towards the girl he liked.

Im now into the last 7 episodes…..getting real exciting….hope i can cheong finish tonite then tml can sleep on the plane on my trip to the Land of Smiles ~ Thailand Bangkok!!!!!!

The uncut version was released yesterday and the 1st thing i did when i woke up was to book tickets for the movies.

Alot of ppl were talking about the bed scenes but after watching the movie, i have to say that the show is much more than just the bed scenes. The lead actor and actress 梁朝伟 and 汤唯, they realli can act. The 内心戏 that is displayed is realli wonderful.

And once again 梁朝伟 has proven his acting skills……i realli love the part where he stare right into 汤唯’s eyes while having sex. Realli highlight the point that he is very 空虚and doesnt trust anyone.

If you ask me, i would say its a love story more than anything. People who watched the sensored version, please go and watch again.

Having cravings for cheesecakes and muffins and i wanted to cultivate interest for baking therefore arranged an excursion to Karen’s house on Sat. Ha Ha. She is teaching me how to bake muffins and cheesecakes.

Bought the necessary ingredients at TPY and proceeded to Karen’s house. Her kitchen hor, 98% are baking barangs damn pro loh~

Anyway we started. i was preparing the mixture for the muffins and i kept reminding myself to remember to put in all the ingredients. (Previously a few years back, i went Apple’s house to bake a cake for Bin’s BD and we were enjoying our gossips that i forgotten to add in milk resulting in creating a biscuit instead of a cake!)

BUT……….人算不如天算…….i forgot about the sugar this time. We din even realized until Alex (Karen’s hubby) mentioned its not too sweet. Ha ha lucky Karen added more chocolate chips….so its still sweet enuff…. Ah Ly did it again hahahahah……

Next is the cheese cake. This is a non baked recipe….meaning i can do it at home oso…..im damn surprised loh….it really tasted very well…..my mum, sisters, even bin oso said its nice!!! Thanks to Karen for guiding me.

I brought a few out for the bestie and Ping when we met for dinner but they nv eat on the spot and after a few hours the cheese just melted…..i was actually quite disappointed…cos its my 1st attempt and i really hope they can try….well….

Anyway, here is proof of my baking session in case anyone doubt me..hahah cos even me myself cant believe i managed to pull it off.

I think this news happen some time ago and i just read it from Dasmond Koh blog today. Seriously i nearly cried after watching the clip….very disturbed.. really shame on them to do this to the old man…3 full grown up men in a trishaw then going on upslope? Worse still, ran off without paying.

Rem how i mentioned im getting a haircut? Went to Erwin together with the bestie but i seriously dunno what to do with my hair.

Erwin said my face shape and hair nature is very suitable for perms and adviced me to cont grow my hair and perm when its longer…..

So its still long hair now…just that its with alot of layers now and i can style it to make it look not so limp.

Tried styling it this morning and i think its not wat Erwin taught me but i think still passable ba. Need to get the hang of the styling art but definitely better than the long limp flat hair….Yucks!

Also, today is my Pingmei birthday. Hip Hip Horray!!
